Aria Tesolin was born in Mississauga, Ontario and began singing at a
very young age. By the time she was six years old she had mastered all
the songs from the movie musical Evita. Inspired to sing opera
after hearing pop-tenor Andrea Bocelli, she attracted the attention of
opera coach Gofreddo Ricci who, impressed with the youngster's ability,
took her on as his sole child student and began teaching her opera
songs.
Aria performed her first concert at 8 years old on
Aug. 3, 2002 leaving many people in the Toronto audience open-mouthed
with surprise. Since then she has performed with both Canada's 3 Tenors
and The Canadian Tenors and many public events for audiences up to
44,000 and has appeared on several television shows and news broadcasts.
Now 16 she continues to develop and perform as both a classical and
contemporary soloist while garnering a global audience of nearly 4
million viewers.
